{"id":9615,"date":"2020-11-12T17:56:21","date_gmt":"2020-11-12T15:56:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caraa.fr\/?p=9615"},"modified":"2022-08-12T16:32:31","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T14:32:31","slug":"painted-backgrounds-at-the-vasarely-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.caraa.fr\/en\/painted-backgrounds-at-the-vasarely-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Painted backgrounds at the Vasarely foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Painted background study at the Vasarely foundation<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CARAA is delighted to participate in collaboration with ARCOART (Magalie Troy) and Laura Briganti in the study of painted backgrounds at the Vasarely foundation.<\/p>\n<p>These backgrounds supervised by Vasarely himself are classified as &#8220;historical monuments&#8221; since 2013. They present different conservation issues including, uplifting layers, peeling and infiltration.<\/p>\n<p>The analyses carried out in this first campaign hope to provide some information to conservators for the restoration of these backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to ARCOART and to the entire team of the collections and exhibitions department of the Vasarely Foundation for this fascinating collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>The examinations were carried out in cross section under visible and UV light and the analyses were made by mean of <a href=\"\/?p=8079\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Raman microscopy<\/a>, <a href=\"\/?p=8076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SEM-EDS<\/a> et <a href=\"\/?p=8079\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">micro-FTIR .<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A next study will take place in early 021 on artworks from the foundation exhibiting surface deposit phenomena.<\/p>\n<p>To be continued &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00c9tude des fonds d&#8217;\u0153uvre \u00e0 la fondation Vasarely.
